It was a pleasure to meet Steve and the team at the YMCA in Carters Green. I was shown round the lovely nursery, the state of the art gym and the supported living facilities.
With so many people struggling with the cost of living, the YMCA is providing vital support for local people as it has done for many years.
We also discussed what joint work we could do to tackle youth unemployment in Sandwell, which is much higher than the national average. Giving our young people better opportunities will be an important priority for me as our MP.
