Help Shape the Future of Derelict Buildings in West Bromwich

Derelict building.png

Across West Bromwich and our wider Sandwell communities, there are buildings that have stood empty, neglected or unused for far too long. These sites can become eyesores, attract anti-social behaviour, and prevent our town centres from reaching their full potential.

The Government has announced that Sandwell Council will receive £3 million from the new Derelict Buildings Fund, creating an exciting opportunity to bring disused buildings back into use and transform them into assets that benefit local people.

I want to make sure local residents have a say in how this funding is used.

That's why I'm asking constituents to tell me about derelict or long-term vacant buildings in our area and, most importantly, to share their ideas for what these spaces could become. Whether it's a community hub, affordable housing, a youth facility, workspace for local businesses, a health or wellbeing centre, green space, cultural venue, or something else entirely, I want to hear your suggestions.

Your feedback will help identify local priorities and ensure that any future investment reflects the needs and ambitions of our communities.

If you know of a derelict building that could be transformed, please complete the survey below and share your ideas for its future. Together, we can help bring neglected spaces back to life and create places that our community can be proud of.

Which buildings in West Brom do you want to see restored?

This government has given £3 million to Sandwell Council through their Derelict Buildings Fund to bring vacant and derelict buildings back into productive use, supporting local regeneration, housing and economic growth.

West Bromwich has a number of derelict and long-vacant buildings across the town. This survey gives you the chance to have your say on which buildings should be prioritised for restoration and what you'd like to see them used for.

I will take your responses to the council to ensure your voices are heard.
