As both a regular runner and volunteer at Sandwell Parkrun, it’s hard to imagine a better community running event - or so I thought until I took part in the annual Colour Run on 16 July!
The event, organised by local legend and Albion Foundation ambassador Blind Dave Heeley brought together over 300 people to raise money for The Albion Foundation, helping them to continue their vital work providing educational and sporting opportunities to the most disadvantaged people in the local community. Like everyone else, I ended the run splattered in paints of all colours, with a huge smile on my face - and I’ll absolutely be back again next year for more.
